“It was when I stopped searching for home within others and lifted the foundations of home within myself I found there were no roots more intimate than those between a mind and body that have decided to be whole.”

Rachel Nebel MS AMFT

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working in private practice in West Los Angeles. I earned a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles and a Bachelors in Theater from Occidental College. Prior to opening my private practice, I gained years of valuable experience working in all levels of care at Monte Nido, one of the leading eating disorder treatment centers in the country.

Many of us struggle in our lives unconsciously stuck with a perspective that helped us survive our past, but is no longer serving us in the present. I help my clients explore the underlying thoughts & beliefs that may be contributing to feeling stuck in their lives. By helping release from these unhealthy patterns I hope to guide clients to better and more fulfilling lives.

I work with clients 17+ and specialize in treating eating disorders, body image, anxiety and depression. Additionally, I have an extensive background working with individuals who are struggling with PTSD, relationship concerns, codependence, difficult life transitions, self-esteem, people pleasing, and perfectionism.

I am a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#140085) under the supervision of Megan Becker, LMFT (#104985). I earned my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California and my Bachelors in Child Development with a double minor in Psychology and Sales from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

My clinical background includes working with adolescents (ages 10+) and young adults in both a school based setting and outpatient mental health facilities. I specialize in the treatment of OCD, anxiety, depression, perfectionism and life transitions. I take an integrative approach using evidence-based practices such as Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and combine them with mindfulness practices. My goal is to support my clients in growing a healthy and trusting relationship with themselves. Therapy is a dynamic, creative, and relational process and I will work with you to develop healthy coping skills, increase self-esteem, and create a life worth living.

Our goal is to provide a warm, compassionate, and confidential space that allows us to collaborate and practice truth without judgement to help you live the life you deserve. We offer a free 30-minute consultation via phone or video chat, so you can get a sense of our style to decide if it's a good match.

Megan's Fees

$225 for individual sessions
$275 for couple/family sessions

Associate Fees

$140 for individual sessions

$160 for couple/family sessions

We offer fees on a sliding scale when space is available. We do not currently take insurance . If you have a health benefits policy that provides mental health coverage, you may be entitled to insurance reimbursement for any provided professional services. Potential reimbursement is between you and your insurance carrier, and you may discuss this with your insurance company by contacting them directly.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. Since we will agree upon the fee and frequency prior to working together, you will be able to anticipate the total yearly cost of sessions. However, if you’d would like me to provide this estimate for you, please ask and I would be happy to!

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
